Jesus Christ built and established the church and became the head of His Church, with the people being the body of Christ's church.

He is the authority and speaks in the scriptures as God, revealed it through the direction of the Holy Spirit.
The Scriptures are our only written standard for wisdom and salvation, teaching and guidance.

are appointed to oversee local affairs.

Sherman has been involved in ministry and served the Lord's church for over 22 years. He is a graduate of the Southern Africa Bible college as well as of the University of the North West where he obtained an Honors degree in Theology. He was awarded a certificate from the Council for Counselors in South Africa in 2011. Sherman has worked in the area of pastoral and general counselling during his time in ministry. Some of the areas of counselling include depression, anger management and pre-marital as well as marital counselling.
Sherman states: "I am married to Anne, who is also a graduate of the Southern Africa Bible college. Together we have 3 delightful and good-hearted boys; Aidan, Keegan and Ethan. We consider ourselves a ministry family. My passion lies in ministry. Serving and growing the Lord’s church is a priority for me with the sole purpose of equipping and empowering the churches of Christ through teaching, training and encouragement.“

Paul & Doreen have 3 daughters, a son-in-law and 1 granddaughter
Paul works in landscaping and city parks. Doreen works in Communication.
They have been a part of the Red Deer congregation for many years, working in the benevolence and missions ministry.
Mike and Michelle have 4 children, and 2 grandchildren.
Mike works in food production and used his free time to serve those around him. Michelle utilizes her energy connecting and supporting those God puts in her path.
They have been involved with the Red Deer congregation for a few years. They have focused on following God's will and Direction for their lives as they serve the congregation
Ivan and Heather have 2 adult children.
Ivan works in Oilfield Services while Heather works in retail and does house cleaning.
They have been with the congregation many years and involved in a variety of areas, including activity planning and facilitating, teaching classes and worship planning. Ivan looks after Audio Visual including sound system, PowerPoints, recording and live streaming.
